What is club volleyball?
Club Volleyball offers athletes the opportunity to play volleyball after their high school season. Club Volleyball is a way for girls ages 7 to 18 to get advanced training and participate in competitive tournaments. Players are placed on a team based on their age and skill level. Players may play up in an older age group, but players are not allowed to play in a younger age group. Players who put more time and effort into the program get more out of it!

Volleyball players looking to hone their knowledge and skill on the volleyball court at a competitive level. Players who desire to play at the collegiate level.

What is my daughters Junior Olympic (JO) age?

How often and where is practice?
Each team practices twice per week for two hours each practice, starting in November. Our two practice locations are:

How long is the club season?
The club season starts in November and ends in April unless a team decides to attend a National tournament which takes place in June. Players will practice and play over holidays and school breaks.

How many players are there per team?
Each team will typically consist of 10-12 players.

What does the club fee cover?
The 2011-2012 club fee covers player USA Volleyball membership, tournament entry fees, player uniform package, facility rental, equipment, team supplies, coaching stipend and travel expenses, refereeing and/or scorekeeper training, SAQ, strength training, and administrative costs.

Are there any additional expenses?
During out of town tournaments, the players are responsible for their transportation to and from the tournaments as well as hotel accommodations and food. In addition, each player is responsible for providing items for the food table as designated by the Team Parent. National tournament fees are not included. Parents should expect to pay parking and admission to some tournaments.

How many tournaments will my team participate in?
Teams will participate in a minimum of 6 tournaments in and out of region.

How do the players get to tournaments?
Parents are responsible for getting their daughter to the tournaments on time.

Where do players stay for out of town tournaments?
The Team Parent will reserve a block of rooms (at a discounted rate) at a designated hotel. Parents are responsible for confirming their individual reservations as soon as the block is confirmed. All players are required to stay in the designated hotel.

When is tournament details available?
Tournament information is posted on Southern Region Volleyball Association (SRVA) and/or the tournament website Wednesday prior to the tournament.
